Bottle Adaptors FAQs
What is a bottle adaptor?
A bottle adaptor allows for controlled transfer of refrigerant during system charging or maintenance in HVAC and refrigeration systems. It ensures a secure, leak-proof connection, preventing refrigerant loss and ensuring safe handling. This adaptor is essential for technicians when adding or recovering refrigerant from HVAC or refrigeration systems.
How do you use bottle adapters?
To use a bottle adaptor in HVAC and refrigeration systems follow these rules:
Ensure the refrigerant bottle is upright and secure.
Attach the bottle adaptor to the refrigerant bottle’s valve and connect the service hose to the adaptor. The other end of the hose is connected to the system’s service port or manifold gauge.
Open the valve on the bottle and monitor the refrigerant flow into or out of the system.
